Terence Roberts creates editorial and fine art photographs for a wide range of private, corporate, and communications clients.  He has been awarded significant commissioned projects for major corporations and has artworks in numerous permanent collections.

After completing a B.A. in Economics at the University of Virginia, Terry pursued his growing interest in photography and fine art.  Studies at the Corcoran School of Art were augmented by extensive travels in Europe where he immersed himself in art and art history. Upon his return to the U.S., he began exhibiting his photographs which were well received.  His activities and successes were noticed by Virginia Tech where he was invited to join the faculty.  Terry taught photography and spent summers working with Virginia’s Governor’s School for the Gifted, a program for exceptional high school students.  While teaching, he did graduate studies in art history at nearby Radford University.

In ’86 he relocated to Wilmington, Delaware, opening a studio to produce commercial and fine art photographs.  Today his studio serves clients in advertising, business, and publishing.  He continues his fine arts activities with personal projects and commissions.

As evidenced by his portfolio, Terry extends the photographic process with a “blue sky” approach to the medium.   He employs a variety of techniques which include painting, collage, compositing, and 3D construction.  He also employs a variety of light sources and exposure/capture methods to achieve a desired result.
